So, I've always wondered... I've gotten the compliment so many times but I'm always curious as to why. So... why do you think I'm intelligent? I really want to know? Is it how I grasp subjects or just my interests? What makes it come to mind?
I will explain my reasoning behind this, but I want to hear other's opinions first. Unlocked and anon on. I know some people are a bit weird about this, so I'll make it easier for you.
Please answer this, if you would.

I'm a newbie here, so first of all, hi everyone!
My new webcomic is called My 25 Percent. It's the story of a young software engineer, who one day found himself working for a large software company.
You can view it here.
I'll be more than happy to hear your reviews and comments.

I gotta say that the season finale of Doctor Who, was kind of a let down for me. I dunno what it was but it wasn't what I was expecting and even though you would think that's a good thing, what I got was less than great and just made me feel like I missed something entirely. What makes me even more upset about that is that now all there is to look forward to is the Christmas special and then like 3 specials next year and that's it. There's going to be no new season till 2010 all because Tennant is doing a year of Hamlet on stage or something along those lines.
Yesterday I got out of the house for a little while and went out to eat with a friend of mine. We ate at a local chinese buffet that serves what I guess they like to call sushi. All they really put out there is california rolls and shrimp on top of rice balls, either way I wind up eating a ton of it cause I really enjoy california rolls, even though I'm more of a fan of the tuna than any other sushi kind. While we were eating though a giant thunderstorm came rolling up and just about as we finished eating is when it seemed to be the weakest so we paided and bolted for my car. After a few minutes in the car we found ourselves running into the mall nearby. Aside from looking in the bookstore for a little while all we really did was go into the hobby shop and I managed to pick up a few things.

This was on sale probably as you can see by the sticker still left on it. I got it cause this version of Scarecrow looked pretty cool.

This, if you can't tell, is a gnome warrior from the game World of Warcraft. He's on top of his mechanical riding mount getting ready to strike something I guess. They just released the new series of figurines and this was the one I had my eye on getting. It goes pretty good with my orc shaman I got last xmas as a gift. Now if I only had somewhere to put the guy.
After I finished shopping in town I came home late at night and I found that it had stormed around here pretty badly too. I also came to find out that the whole cable in the house had been knocked out. I had no television or internet access all last night. Luckily I had started downloading the season finale of Doctor Who before I left and it had enough time to finish before I got back so I had something to do for the rest of the evening. I had my friend look up the 24 hour repair line number for me and last night when I called I sat on hold for 20 minutes before finally giving up and just going to bed. My Mom told me this morning she saw two trucks out by the road working on the cable line and it was up and running when I got up this morning. I was kinda worried that I was going to have to wait till Monday before it would get fixed but everything worked out fine.

I took my Wii over to my brother's for his usually cookout the other day. His brithday is the 4th of July, so we've ALWAYS had a cookout and fireworks and cake for it. It's just moved from my grandparents house when we were little to his own house now that he has one. And a pool (just like my grampa used to have--no, really, I swear it's the same model).
Anyways, Wii. The ones who were most excited was my other older brother, Mike (who went home and got his Wiimotes). And once we turned it on, it was 4 player Mario Kart time and ALLL the munchkins wanted to play. On a large flat wide screen TV (the result of Jami's tax abatement check). So niiiice~~! I was so mean, I didn't hold back against the little kids--although I was definitely distracted by trying to tell them what to do when playing and thus looking at their corners of the screen almost more than my own.
After Jami served his own cake, my older psuedo niece Natalie (my cousin Beth's oldest) wanted to play Wii Sports for some golf. My niece Audrey, who's 3 or so now, was doing better than Nattie (who's in the later side of elementary now. I'm not sure if she's 10 yet or not) at first. It was kind of hilarious. Alaina (my kindergartener niece), didn't take direction on Mario Kart or the sports as well as Audrey, which is also funny. My aunt got in on things when it came to bowling, and so did Beth's husband. The Miis were Me, Jesus, my mom's Mii, and Frodo (Beth's boy Damien picked that one--he's 4 I think). The only person to stay playing the same one for the whole thing was my Aunt. And I still won! I only did 4 of the frames myself, the rest were split between Alaina and Adrey and maybe another niece or two. XD
The real amusement was Brawl. Alaina, Isaac, and Jasmine all wanted to play. (Mike went against me first, he wanted to use the nunchuck thinking it could be like Twilight Princess and use the movement, but it doesn't.) They all played twice, and I showed them to use the joy-stick bit to move (I have classic controllers), and I showed them the attack buttons. Other than that, I just don't them NOT to hit x and y (or whatever the buttons above a and b are). They all took to it fairly fast. A couple 5 years olds and a 4 year old. They used Lucario (Jasmine used him twice, and once Alaina did the same--Against Jasmine, so yay for color options!), Isaac used Ganondorf at least once, and Alaina's other time playing was with Princess Peach.
It just really amuses me how quickly they took to Brawl (well, the fighting, menus are a much more complicated thing when you're an impatient kid just randomly hitting a button when you're not ready for them to do so), but how long the sports took in comparison. But once they know, they'd don't want ANY help. (Except for Alaina complaining how bad she is or how hard she is when she's not instantly good at it. They others think they won just because they played, which is cute. XD)
Yeah.. so this is more about my family playing Wii than about fireworks. And on an aside to that, people LOVED how much my dad's Mii really looked like him. XDD
rapha7 and my Mom conspired together to make it when my dad helped me install my window A/C unit last month.
There was also lots of other family and food while I was at Jami's (
rapha7 came too), which was all basically the same deal as all my family gatherings: loud and plentiful.

So, I called up a few of the people who have basement apartments listed. The first one I check out tonight at 5:30pm. Jer's coming with me! The guy on the phone sounded very professional... It makes me feel more confident that he knows what he's doing and that he'll likely be good at doing the whole landlord thing. Plus, HDTV is included in rent! XD Hehe!
The more I look at this place, the more I absolutely love it. The photos show it as being fairly pristine; finally a place I may be able to call my own that wasn't paint-bombed. -_-; I made an appointment for one other place but I think if this one looks as good in person, I'll just get it there and then. It's just one block away from a subway station, a grocery store, a movie theater and malls and restaurants... It's the best location I've seen yet. So here's hoping that it pans out and there's nothing I see that's questionable about the place. XD
If it does work out, I'll just have to call up the other place to cancel the viewing.
While I'm babbling about this, this whole thing has me on nerves. I'm excited and anxious at the same time. I hate being such a worry-wort. T_T I probably won't start to feel calm until I secure a place and get the majority of my stuff packed.
Speakng of packing, Jer and I went out to the Moving Store across town and bought a crapload of boxes. I hope they'll be enough for all my stuff... I feel like we must have forgotten something. It's so hard to figure out how much space your junk takes up in cube-shape. o_O It was expensive for all that too. *cry* Oh well. At least the cheaper rent will make up for it. I have to hire movers too... Gotta remember to ask my co-worker what movers she got recently... she was really impressed/satisfied with them. :9 Hopefully they aren't too expensive either.

Hi, I'm newish here, so I hope this sort of post is all right.
My second comic, Shades Of Evening, is now officially online here.

Shades Of Evening concerns a young woman who escapes from prison, and the dysfunctional team sent to recapture her, while an inter-dimensional war rages around them. There are also a bunch of vampires who want to make it in the music biz, two necromancers who are out to wreak havoc, and a family of aristocrats in the mould of the Borgias, if the Borgias had had a nuclear space fleet.
In genre it's mainly drama/horror, with occasional lapses into fantasy/sci-fi, urban thriller and noir. I'm not very good at sticking to one genre - we have zombies, we have vampires, we have spaceships, we have mysterious supernatural beings, we have strangely magnetic villains, the works.
Currently the comic is on an extremely accelerated update schedule, as I'm aiming to update four or five pages a week for the next couple of weeks. After that it will probably be one or two pages a week.
Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks!

Since we're all in this community because we like comics, I thought I would inflict a few of mine on you guys. I pretty much only draw journal comics right now, and not all that regularly, but I have a lot of fun drawing them. Please feel free to share any comments or constructive criticism. I've pretty much just been posting them to this journal, so if you really like them, I guess the best place to check for new ones is at emzilla-stomp.livejournal.com.

Okay, so, in my GateMUSH RP, I've been trying to design some more unique clothing for poor Zack to wear for a few reasons-- one, it's his right as a SOLDIER first class, and two, he needs to keep his identity somewhat concealed when he's on duty in Sephiroth and Angeal's Gate, since there's /already/ a Zack Fair.
Currently he's calling himself 'Agent Wolf', though he's apparently officially registered as 'Agent P' (for Puppy). It's completely Sephiroth's fault :|
( CLICK FOR DRAWING!!! )
So that's a quick concept-- a cape is kind of silly I admit, but I'm sure Zack would think it's awfully cool.
Doodled in Flash 2004 :U

I got a ton of stuff ready to ship and then realized that tomorrow is the 4th! Stupid holiday, I'm not used to you being around. I am usually in California over the 4th! *fist shake*
So I got a lot done today. I now have a college e-mail address, but my e-mail will still be kept as Pupukachoo @ gmail dot com for personal use (as well as ebay and paypal stuff). I'll keep my college email private to keep it from getting cluttered, that way I will only be sharing it with close friends and other students... keeping it free for teachers/news stuff. I also registered my classes, I've got an elective open still due to the class I wanted already being full - dammit! I'm still going to try and get in, but we'll see.
Like I said, got almost everything packaged. If the post office is open on Saturday I'll send stuff out then.. if not, Monday!
I met with clint tonight for dinner - my brother and sister in law went with me. Overall, dinner was good... horrible service and some weird drama occurring when the waitress started screaming at the table behind us for not separating their orders for separate checks (they looked as shocked as we did, because we never heard them raising their voice or being aggressive to her- she just lost it >_>: ). Still, dinner was good and the company was good. Trying to spend as much time with my local people before I ship off.
As for new york report- I'm still waiting to get pictures from Yuuki. Until then, some pictures under the cut
( I've turned into a cam whore now that I have a webcam. oye. )

I don't know about other people, but I'm LOVING the cast list Bandai is doing for Gurren Lagann. I'm amused at actors normally cast as leads doing the side characters and watching people go "WTF??" to that. XD
There's only a couple I was doing the "who??" for, mainly the Viral guy. But then I see he was Wan in K.O.Beast, and I can calm down. Although I can see why people are going WTF to Starfire as Nia, but I'm more in the "LOL, but it works!" end on that one. XD
And meanwhile a cat walks by with a toy in his mouth, returning me to reality--that I have to be at work in 6 hours. NIGHT NIGHT TIME!

Welcome back New York traveler's! Glad you all had fun!
And in other ramblings! SLAYERS REVOLUTION!!
I snagged a raw, and then got massacred by nostalgia. Lina after bandits (okay, pirates, no big diff though), them freaking out when they learn who they're up against (obligatory "dra-matta" comment), Lina getting PISSED because of it (and Gourry telling them to just surrender already before it gets worse), speeches given from high places (two at least--Amelia got in her "seigi no" as well), interruptions, random accusations, deceit, familiar BGM, and alphabetical theme to episode names, and Gourry not being able to remember names. And running and being chased and explosions. And a little WTF was that? at the end. Yet another cove was made as the sea fills in a shore-side crater.
Basically, it's the same ol' Slayers. Just minus one Hikari no Ken. Poor Gourry, he need to find a new sword that can withstand all the brutality he'll put it through. That, or work on his forging and repair skills.
Even the animation quality is much the same. Some parts awesome, other parts obviously on a weekly production schedule, similar scene set-up and camera shots. Character design is just slightly different. I think a little softer/curvier/something at times. And didn't Lina's gems have an odd number of indentations in the metal setting? There's 6 now in the top one. Ah well, slight changes (and not so slight) have happened to her outfit every season. Zelgadis has a cursive M like deal on his belt now.
I probably wouldn't notice these little things if I hadn't used to draw them so much. XDD;;;
I'M RAMBLING!
Slayers Revolution = Nostalgic! I'll keep watching, not just because it's SLAYERS, but because I want to know who that little critter is. (And why does it have a zipper in the front?) Oh, and because there's a waitress with a Luna-ish look in the OP, BUT HER EYES AREN'T COVERED BY HER BANGS! Wtf, will Luna actually APPEAR in this season? And LOL to the detroyed sigils/whatever of Phibby and Garv in the Mazoku hierarchy chart thing in the ED sequence.

I'm back! I'm so tired XD; I fell asleep all over the place on the trip back, which lead to strange dreams on the plane.
I also fell asleep too quickly to turn off my phone. Oopth.
Oh man it was so much fun!! I wish I was better at writing up reports but I'm not XD; suffice it to say we were all very silly and had a great time and saw a tone of wacky things and and YAAAAAAAAAY WICKED WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!! it really really really was X_X;;; omfg.
And yet still I can't /wait/ to go back. I want to see it again, and I want to do more stuff, and and and and YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
Thank you to my friends T_T// I'm /so/ glad I got to go!!
[Edit: And also, did I mention we were busy?
jaeai, we were always on the move, a visit just wouldn't have worked this time-- however, I have definite plans to go back. More importantly, I may need a favor, but I'll talk to you about that privately~ ]

Thanks to the huge flakes in charge of the marriage politicking at Pride on Saturday I ended up not volunteering at all, mainly because I was pissed off at being told several different things by several different people and because even when I got there I was given no clear idea as to who was running what, where I should go, what I was volunteering for, why the hell there was a subtle undertone of shilling for Obama even though that's not why I signed up to volunteer, etc.
Even the location they told me they were stationed at was dead fucking wrong by, oh, two streets; if it wasn't for the fact that I'd budgeted time to walk around and have some time to myself checking things out, I'd've wasted valuable time looking for them. Gawd. If that's how they normally run their organization, I fear for gay marriage. *lol* I looked to see if the SF Greens had a booth so that I could help them out if they needed it, but no booth.
Had fun though, despite the overall lameness of Pride - the corporate sponsors infesting the place (think Clear Channel radio stations and Comcast and New York Times holding out their change cups); the guys who use Pride as an excuse to do all the things they're too cowardly to do anywhere else; and the fact that you couldn't purchase plain water anywhere, just $5 mixed drinks. I just lazed around basically, people watching, enjoying the show(s), and staring at the hazy, smoky sky as I ate some overpriced falafel for lunch. Danced for a bit in front of a radio station booth playing some hip-hop, and while I was dancing with this hot black girl some professional photog and a random Asian woman took some photos of us. This just means that I'll for sure show up in someone's Flickr stream with the caption: "zmg look at dis fag dancing with his messenger bag still on lulz such teh n00b lulz lulz"
Also, I've been noticing for a long time now that despite my general misanthropic nature I actually enjoy being in a big crowd, *gasp* so long as I have plenty of my own space and don't have to talk much (note that I'm talking in the context of strangers, not friends). It's only when I feel physically crowded and unable to go inward often enough that I get annoyed; thankfully I was only at Pride on the slower day so I had plenty of my own space, both physical and mental. Probably the best way to describe the feeling was "gregarious, but not open," or "friendly, but not social."
Anyway, after Pride I hung out with Nna - we saw Wall-E, which was fabulous because Pixar remains one of the only companies whose CG work doesn't feel cold/emotionless/stale/staid/synthetic (Star Wars, anyone?). Then, some great Japanese food at Katanaya (thanks, Yelp!), and on my way home I got majorly checked out by some quite-obviously-much-younger-than-me cute nerd with a bike on the BART. Picked up some hot green tea in Richmond too before the drive home. Good stuff.
P.S. Thank goodness the air has mostly cleared up. Not fun staying in LA pollution for two weeks and then coming back home expecting clean air, only to be bombarded with hazy, white/grey skies and the smell of burning wood in your nostrils for two more weeks.
